ABOUT SONIC CHAIR
The sonic chair is produced by hand in our workshops in Cologne. Our goal is to create perfect sound in its most attractive form. The quality of our sonic chair requires extraordinarily precise craftsmanship. At the same time, we focus on ecologically friendly production and sustainability (> sustainability). All of the materials used, correspond with the highest quality standards
The sonic chair was awarded one of the most important design prizes worldwide, the “red dot design award”, by an international jury. It was also nominated for the “Design Prize of the Federal Republic of Germany”.
Imagine sitting in a concert hall – not just anywhere, but right where the conductor stands. You don’t miss the slightest nuance. You can feel the vibrato. And now imagine this at home, in a lobby, or in a museum – then you are sitting in a sonic chair. Our idea of combining loudspeakers with comfortable seating allows for optimal listening conditions.

The sonic chair provides a unique audio experience, allowing you to sit at the very centre of a sound system.
Whether you enjoy listening to symphony orchestras, rock concerts, or audio books – the integrated satellite speakers are precisely adapted to your ears
The speakers are encased in a carefully crafted body that creates sufficient volume for powerful bass tones, while a specially devel - oped body-focused sound membrane serves as backrest and further augments the lower frequencies – creating the feeling of a live performance
The open design ensures a resonance-receptive, well-balanced sound environment. Background noises will not disrupt the enjoyment of music or an audio book in the sonic chair.
The active and passive sound insulation creates an acoustic island.
Craftsmanship and high-tech go hand in hand
The components used in the sounding board are produced by computer-operated milling machines and carefully assembled by hand.
The final assembly of the upholstered ensemble is equipped with our sound equipment.
The solid foot contains precise bushings, and an integrated audio cabling.
The operating panel and control knobs are made of brushed stainless steel.

A circular acoustic enclosure with 32 litre speakervolume
Equipped with high-quality Scandinavian-made loudspeakers featuring separate tweeters and midrange drivers as well as a center subwoofer
Support of the low frequency range from 16 to 40 Hz through silent physical vibration
Specially developed six-channel amplifier in patented class-D technology with integrated digital signal processor (DSP) to allow separate regulation of both high and midrange speakers, the subwoofer and the body-focused sound membrane
