PRO TECHnology, the leading Apple Dealer, integrator of storage and high availability solutions in the Middle East, has announced the release of Boot Camp, the first-ever software patch, from Apple Computer that enables Intel-based Macs to run Microsoft’s Windows XP operating system.
Starting from today, UAE customers can avail a free trial and live demo of Boot Camp at PRO TECHnology’s Retail Stores, The Apple Center at Shaikh Zayed Road & EVO showroom at the Dubai Media City. Boot Camp is a public beta software that enables Intel-based Macs to run Windows XP. The product allows users with a Microsoft Windows XP installation disc to install Windows XP on an Intel-based Mac. When the installation is complete, users can restart their computer to run either Mac operating System X or Windows XP. Boot Camp will be a feature in “Leopard,” Apple’s next major release of Mac operating system X.
